Cornworthy Allotments Update. Plotholders at Cornworthy Allotments are starting the eleventh growing season and we have full plot occupancy.   However, anyone from our local community who would like an allotment is very welcome to join the waiting list. The recent warm dry weather has been welcomed after such a long wet winter and preparing our plots ready for planting is the priority at the moment. A number of like-minded Villagers in Cornworthy have been meeting  regularly since September 2019  to consider the formation of a club to expand sports facilities available in the village.  Their objectives have been defined both in terms of physical fitness and socialisation. An 11-person committee has been formed to pursue these matters. 51 people (half male, half female), sent in returns to a canvass of local opinion. Most requested facilities (taken that there is already a football pitch in situ) were a tennis court, followed by a Petanque/Boule pitch.
